Saturday Night Fun

Saturday night fun at our house often includes sharing with friends our highs and lows of the week in between wrestling matches, making burritos out of people, and playing hide and go seek.

Can't get enough of the Back Bay

Nature class was exceptionally beautiful today. High tide attracted the bird and ducks. We stopped to smell the sage brush, as usual. Ranger Sue said men used to use it as cologne and brush it on their beard. That's how it got its name.

We learned about worms during storytime and then made worm pencil holders.

Zoo Day!

We went to the Santa Ana zoo today with Laura and Clara. It was Sage's first time, but she slept through most of it. Sierra's favorite part was going on the carousel and the train.

The monkeys were cold.

Playschool

Sierra has been enjoying playschool at Emily's. She and her good friends Clare, Darren and Luca have baked apple pies, cracked open nuts, made homemade ice cream, etc., together.

My sister's new baby

I met Austin Brooks Cohen this afternoon at my sister's place. He's 4 days old now. My sister's 4th child.

A beautiful morning at Nature Class

Couldn't have been more picturesque at the Back Bay this morning for Nature Class. The weather was perfect! Nice cool breeze, lots of sun. We did end up meeting our friend Jacole and her kids there, which made the class even better.

On our short hike, we were in search of squirrels, which was today's theme. Didn't see any, though. Saw some white egrets, a vulture, ducks, dragon flies and a snake (inside its aquarium, see below).

Ahhh, we are definitely going next week, too. Here are some pictures.

Monday Parkday!

Got some pictures of my cuties at our Monday parkday get together. I can't believe it is still in the 80s in November. Oh, well, at least we can go outside year round.
